Partial persistence and extinction in image-dimensional competitive systems Original Research Article

In this paper, we first consider an NN-dimensional system slightly more general than the Lotka–Volterra system, and give conditions that imply strong persistence of all species. Using this result, we then give computable conditions on the coefficients which imply the ultimate extinction of certain species in an NN-dimensional Lotka–Volterra system.
