A Hausdorff metric inequality with applications to the existence of essential components Original Research Article

This paper gives a lemma about a Hausdorff metric inequality between two nonempty compact subsets in metric spaces. As applications, some existence theorems for essential components of solutions for some nonlinear problems, such as KKM points, solutions in Ky Fan’s Lemma as well as Nash equilibrium points, are deduced.
