Abstract :
Laser optogalvanic spectroscopy of neon has been studied in the discharge environment of a hollow cathode discharge lamp. We illustrate the fitting of the time-resolved optogalvanic waveforms by focusing on the 1s2–2p2 transition of neon at 659.9 nm and employ a nonlinear least-squares Monte Carlo approach to determine the pertinent amplitude coefficients, decay rates and the instrumental time constant.
