Abstract :
A wave equation of memory type, View the MathML sourceu″−Δu+∫0tg(t−s)Δu(s)ds=0, with acoustic boundary conditions is considered. This work is devoted to investigating the influence of the kernel function gg and proving general rates of decay of solutions when gg does not necessarily decay exponentially.
