Abstract
The present study was carried out with the aim of comparing educational achievement motivation
among high school sport elite, sport, and non-sport students of Tehran. The method of this study is
causal comparative-post-event in which data collection has been performed in a field manner. The
population of this study includes high school students of Tehran’s Amouzesh-Va-Parvaresh
(Education) among which 380 individuals were selected based on Morgan’s table among which
researchers obtained 320 correct questionnaires. The instrumentation of this studyof this research
includes adopted the Motivation Testing Questionnaire. For analyzing data, ANOVA test,
statistical tests of T, and Tukey test have been used. Results showed that the difference of
educational achievement motivation among sport elite, sport, and non-sport male students is not
significant, but that there is a significant difference among sport elite, sport, and non-sport female
students in terms of educational achievement motivation. Moreover, there is no significant
difference between individual and group sports of male students in terms of educational
achievement motivation, but there is a significant difference between individual and group sports
of female students in terms of educational achievement motivation.
