Abstract
Individuals with a high need for achievement is very sensitive to the opportunity to
do something better than before or than others and to improve skills. These
conditions are related to healthy individuals with positive perfectionism. Studies
show that negative perfectionism was generally found to be associated with negative
personality factors and the use of dysfunctional coping strategies. The negative
perfectionism is associated with low self-esteem, depression and illogical beliefs. So,
it is not associated with achievement motivation.
