Abstract :
The reduced s-d model with antiferromagnetically coupled impurity spins, previously tested on susceptibility measurements of (La1−xCex)Al2, is applied to CePd2Ga3. The s-d exchange coupling constant J, and conduction bandwidth D are adjusted to obtain the best fit of theoretical specific heat ci(T, B) and magnetization mi(T, B) with experimental ce(T, B), me(T, B). The ci(T, B) and mi(T, B) curves coincide with the ce(T, B), me(T, B) ones with high accuracy for J = 0.042 eV and D = 0.07 eV.
