Abstract
We present a study of dynamical scaling and domain growth in a nonpotential system that models Rayleigh–Bénard convection in a rotating cell. In , dynamical scaling holds, but the nonpotential terms modify the characteristic growth law with a crossover from logarithmic to linear in time. In the nonpotential terms prevent coarsening for values of the angular rotation speed below the Küppers–Lortz instability.
