Pure states having thermal photon distribution revisited: generation and phase-optimization

Previous papers in the literature have studied squeezing properties of a pure state having thermal statistics. Here we pursue further this topic, presenting a feasible proposal to generate this state, including additional discussions concerning the involved parameters which define and optimize the field phase.
