Abstract
We consider a mean-field systematic approach to study the critical behavior of cooperative models. The sequence of approximate mean-field results are analyzed by the introduction of a scaling hypothesis from which we can obtain the critical parameter as well as the nonclassical critical exponents. The method is applied to the Domany–Kinzel probabilistic cellular automaton and to the two-dimensional Glauber–Ising model.
