Abstract
Short-term memory formation is a collective effect displayed by driven spatiotemporal dynamical systems, in which the injected signal is echoed back in many different ways due to the coupling effect. The existence of multiple short-term memories enables us to use these systems to encode signals. We present numerical evidence of short-term memory generation in a lattice of AC-driven circuits with inductive coupling. The multiple configurations exhibited by this oscillator chain can be used to encode graphical characters.
