Objectives: The present study has been carried out to investigate the effects of group narrative therapy at enhancing self-esteem and self-efficacy of 20 Iranian orphan adolescent boys (13-18 years of age). Method: Participants were randomly assigned to an experimental or a control group. A 10-week group therapy was performed. Outcome measures included the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Inventory and the Scherer Self-Efficacy Scale questionnaires. Results: Results of an analysis of covariance revealed that narrative therapy has led to significant increase in the self-esteem and self-efficacy of participants.
