Abstract
The impact of a magnetic field was studied on seed germination of Rudbeckia hirta. Investigation carried out In vitro condition with no access to daylight using fluorescent light as illumination. Maximum seed germination occurred when exposed at field strength of 628 mT at exposure period of 24 h, inducing percent germination of 56% compared to 10% of the control. Although maximum growth for root and shoot occurred in 314 mT at 24 which was significantly higher than control and all treatments in 6 hour exposure but did not significantly varied with 628 mT at 24.
