Analyzing the relation of individual factors (motivation, control locus, self- esteem) with technical schools’ students’ academic motivation in Oshnaviyeh Township, Iran

Aim of this research is determining relation of individual factors (motivation, control locus, self- esteem) with technical schools’ students’ academic motivation in Oshnaviyeh Township, Iran in academic year 2012-2013. Method of research is descriptive in survey type. Statistical population of research contains all technical schools’ students of vocational branch in Oshnaviyeh Township with 828 persons. In this research four standard questionnaires are used so that questionnaire had been gave in two steps to samples and after needed explanations about aim of research and justifying students about manner of answering to questions of each test, in first step students answered to self- esteem and control locus tests and in second step answered to stimulation and academic motivation tests. Results show that motivation of technical schools’ students of Oshnaviyeh Township is different in terms of gender. Also there is relationship between individual factors and academic motivation and between control locus and academic motivation of technical schools’ students of Oshnaviyeh Township.
