Combined vapor and chemical explosions of metals and water Original Research Article

Metal-water explosions often involve simultaneous steam production and chemical reaction. Existing information on such combined steam and chemical explosions is reviewed. Included in the review are recent experiments conducted at Argonne National Laboratory on lithium-water and aluminum-water explosions.
