Abstract
One of the main centers of the world oil production and extrapolation is Persian gulf. Persian gulf region products more than 50 percent of all producted crude oil in the world. Persian gulf is considered as the biggest oil source in the world. It has production and utilization platform of big refineries in its shores and has important harbors of the oil exports. It accepts thousands small and big oil ships and tankers each year. Avoiding from events occurring and pollution is impossible because of multiplicity and compression of oil areas and high traffic of ships. Khark island is one of the significant terminals of petroleum (crude oil) loading in Iran. Each day many ships berth in this island for oil exports and they contaminate the water in this no installations has been considered for receiving oil wates in this island. In this paper first the companies with polluting activities in Khark Island have been identified and then the existences of oil waste receiving facilities in this Island have been investigated. At the end the existing problems have been discussed.
