Abstract :
Foliar application of nutrients is an important crop management strategy in maximizing crop yields. It can supplement soil fertilization. This study investigated the effects of Fe foliar application on the yield and yield components and some physiological traits in soybean (Glycine max (L) Merr.) under defoliation. Research was conducted with complete randomized block experimental design with split-plot arrangement with three replications. In this experiment, the main plots consisted of defoliation on three levels 1 -Control (A1), 2- 33%defoliation at initial of grain filling (A2), 3- 66%defoliation atinitial grain filling (A3). Subplots were Fe foliar application on three levels: 1-Control (B1), 2- Fe Spraying 2/1000 at initial flowering stage (B2), 3- Fe Spraying 4/1000 at initial flowering stage (B4).Duncan’s multiple range tests (p < 0.05) was applied for mean separation when F values were. Results of analysis of variance indicated that the interaction effects of Iron foliar application and defoliation of Soybean on the characteristics of Height plant, Number of pods per plant, 1000 seeds weight, seed yield, biological yield, Oil percentage and protein percentage were significant at the 5% level, However, there was not significant, Number of seed per pod of Iron foliar application treated with defoliation. The result of Interactions table showed, the highest Height plant, Pod per plant ,Chlorophyll, 1000 weight of seed, seed yield and biological yield declared were obtained under Control* Fe Spraying 4/1000(A1B3) with average 127.1(Cm) and 944.77 (N.o)47.49 SPAD 183.06(gr), 7313.3 (Kg.ha) and 29397(Kg.ha) respectively.
