Abstract :
This paper presents some theoretical aspects on computational elasto-plasticity, such as the plastic strain modes (eigenvectors and eigenvalues), the unified hardening model, the principle of minimum synthetic elastic complementary energy rate, the principle of steepest climbing rate path in the orthonormalized space, etc. These new concepts and relations are believed to be the authorʹs innovations in recent years. In fact, they have objectively essential influence on the elasto-plastic computation, and are very useful if one has been aware of them.
