Abstract
The aim of this paper is a description of the possibility to use distributed parameter model (wave model) and lumped parameter model (rigid water column) for unsteady flow investigation in complex pipe networks. First, a short description of the adopted models and numerical methods together with some results are given. Afterwards, the applicability of the lumped parameter analyses of portion of the pipe network is numerically estimated. Finally, remarks about capabilities and limits of the developed program code are reported.
