Abstract
Motivated by the success of the Reproducing Kernal Particle Methods (RKPM) for solving the Helmholtz equation, RKPM is used as the interpolating basis functions for solving three-dimensional electromagnetics problems. The electromagnetics problem is the vector form of the wave equation. Treatment of the divergenceless condition is discussed as well as accurate treatment of the boundary conditions. A simple shorted cylindrical waveguide is solved under TE11 excitation. The accuracy of the RKPM is demonstrated for the three-dimensional problem.
