Abstract
A new method to solve three-dimensional linear Stokes problems is proposed in this paper. It is shown that in using extended Trefftz polynomials associated with an original weak formulation which is suited to these special functions, it is possible to get a high precision at a reasonnable numerical coast. Three-dimensional examples show the accuracy of the proposed approach which is then applied to domain optimization as for the free surface problem.
