Abstract :
Theinterfacialareatransportequationapplicabletothebubblyflowispresented.Themodelisevaluatedagainstdataacquiredbyastate-of-the-artminiaturizeddouble-sensorconductivityprobeinanadiabaticair–waterco-currentverticaltestloopunderatmosphericpressurecondition.Ingeneral,agoodagreement,withinthemeasurementerrorof±10%,isobservedforawiderangeinthebubblyflowregime.Theevaluationoftheindividualparticleinteractionmechanismsdemonstratestheactiveinteractionsbetweenthebubblesandhighlightsthemechanismsplayingthedominantroleininterfacialareatransport.Theanalysisemployingthedriftfluxmodelisalsoperformedforthedataacquired.Underthegivenflowconditions,thedistributionparameterof1.076yieldsthebestfittothedata.
