Abstract :
Relocationisoneoftheprotectiveactionsthatmaybeintroducedtoprotectthepublicfollowinganaccidentalreleaseofradioactivematerialintotheenvironment.Thispaperpresentstheresultsofastudyonthequantitativepredictionoftheareaaffectedbyrelocationafternuclearaccidents.Inthisstudy,therelationshipbetweentheareasaffectedbyrelocationandtheinterventionlevelforimplementingrelocationaswellassourcetermhasbeenquantitativelydescribed.AllthecalculationspresentedinthispaperhavebeendoneusingtheEuropeanpackageforaccidentconsequenceassessmentCOSYMA.Toestimatetheinfluenceoftheassumptionsmadeinthecalculationsonthegeneralapplicabilityoftheresults,asensitivitystudyhasbeencarriedoutforsourcetermvariationsandsamplingofweathersequences.
