Abstract
ValidationoftheRBMKmodel,developedbyemployingbestestimatesystemcomputercodeRELAP5isperformedbyemployingthedatafromNPPsoperationorfromintegralandseparateeffectsfacilities.
ValidationofthemodelsonthebasisofseparatephenomenaisnecessarytoperformduetothefactthatRELAP5codehasbeendevelopedforPWRs,whichoperateatdifferentconditions(pressure,temperature,coolantvoidfraction,etc.)fromRBMKs.Inadditiontothat,thereisanumberofphenomenaspecificforRBMKtypereactors(oscillatoryflowratebehaviourinparallelchannels,flowstagnationinchannels,stratificationinlonghorizontalpiping,etc.),whichhavenotbeenstudiedduringRELAP5validationforPWRs.
Inthepaper,RELAP5modelsforseparateeffectsrelatedtoRBMK-1500arepresentedandmodellingoftransientsisperformed.Obtainedresultsarecomparedwithexperimentaldata.
