  • Abstract
    Thispaperpresentsamodelforprobabilisticanalysisofreinforcedconcretestructures.Thestudyconsiderstheeffectsofstructuralgeometricimperfections,aswellasthematerials’mechanicalpropertiesvariabilityontheresponseofbeamsandcolumns.ThefiniteelementmethodiscombinedwiththeMonteCarlosimulationmethod.Theparametersoftheanalysisarerepresentedaseitherrandomvariablesorasstochasticfields.Afterseveralsimulations,theexpectedvaluesandstandarddeviationsofthedeflectionsandoftheruptureloadsareevaluated.Finally,thevariabilityoftheresponseofthestructureisinvestigated.
