Abstract :
Researchprogressonthedevelopmentofvalidationmethodologyformulti-axialcreepdamageconstitutiveequationsanditsspecificapplicationto0.5Cr0.5Mo0.25Vferriticsteelat590°Cispresented.Asetofnewphenomenologicalmulti-axialcreepdamageconstitutiveequationswasproposedaimingatovercomingthedeficiencyofinconsistencybetweenpredictedrupturestrainsandobservedones.Basedontheseexplicitconsistentrequirements,animprovedvalidationmethodologyisproposedandappliedto0.5Cr0.5Mo0.25Vferriticsteelat590°C.Itshowsthatthepredictionsofthisnewsetofconstitutiveequationsareconsistentwithexperimentalobservations.Italsorevealsasignificantdifferenceincreepcurvesbetweendifferentsetsofconstitutiveequationsandtheneedforexperimentaldatasothatthecouplingofdamageandcreepdeformationcanbefurtherexamined.
