Abstract :
Thispaperdescribesthederivationoftheequationforevaluatingthestrengthofsteelplatereinforcedconcretestructure(SC)andtheexperimentalresultsofSCpanelssubjectedtoin-planeshear.
Twoexperimentalresearchprogramswerecarriedout.Onewastheexperimentalstudyinwhichtheinfluenceoftheaxialforceandthepartitioningwebwereinvestigated,anotherwasthatinwhichtheinfluenceoftheopeningwasinvestigated.
Intheformerprogram,ninespecimenswereloadedincyclicin-planeshear.Thetestparameterswerethethicknessofthesurfacesteelplate,theeffectsofthepartitioningwebandtheaxialforce.Theexperimentalresultswerecomparedwiththecalculatedresults,andgoodagreementbetweenthecalculatedresultsandtheexperimentalresultswasshown.
Inthelaterprograms,sixspecimenshavinganopeningwereloadedincyclicin-planeshear,andwerecomparedwiththeresultsofthespecimenwithoutopening.FEManalysiswasusedtosupplementexperimentaldata.Finally,weproposedtheequationtocalculatethereductionratiofromtheopeningfordesign.
