Abstract :
Manyanchorboltsareusedinnuclear-relatedfacilitiesinordertofastsomeequipmentsandpipes.Abouttheseanchorbolts,thepossibilitiesshouldexistinbeingexposedtohightemperatureduetoaccident.However,littleinformationisavailableregardingtheeffectsofhightemperaturesonthebehaviorofanchorbolts.Toobtainbasicexperimentaldataandtoexaminetheresponseofcast-in-placeanchorboltstohightemperatureexposure,pulloutstrengthofananchorboltduringheatingandafterheatingwasexamined.Themaximumtemperatureinthistestis500°Candtwodifferentrateofheatingwereprepared.Testsresultsshowthatpulloutstrengthdecreaseswithincreasingsurfacetemperature.Regardlessofdifferentrateofheatinginthisexperiment,identicalratioofpulloutstrengthofanchorboltwasobtainedwhenthesametemperatureofconcretesurroundingtheboltheadwasapplied.
