Abstract :
Oneofthemilestonesintheroadmapofaccelerator-driventransmutationofwaste(ATW)oftheU.S.DepartmentofEnergyisthedesignandconstructionofanaccelerator-driventestfacility(ADTF)withathermalpowerof100MW.AnalysisofthedynamicbehavioroftheADTFhasbeencarriedoutintheframeofabilateralcollaborationbetweentheForschungszentrumKarlsruheandtheArgonneNationalLaboratory(ANL).Inthepresentstudyfivedifferentsystemconfigurationswithvarioustypesoffuelanddifferenttypesofcoolanthavebeentakenintoconsideration.
