Abstract
Characteristicsofprocessoftransmutationofneptunium,americiumandcuriumfromspentnuclearfuelinheavy-waterreactorduringfirst10lifetimesandattransitiontoequilibriummodearecalculated.Duringtransmutation,dangerousnuclides,firstofall,244Cmand238Puareaccumulated.Theycauseanincreaseofradiotoxicity.Atfirst10cyclesoftransmutation,theradiotoxicityisincreasedby8.7timesincomparisonwithradiotoxicityofinitialloadoftransmutedactinides.Heavy-waterreactorwiththermalpowerof1000MWcantransmuteneptunium,americiumandcuriumextractedfrom3.7VVER-1000typereactors.Itmeans,thattherequiredpoweroftransmutationreactormakesabout8%ofthermalpowerofVVER-1000typereactors.
