  • Abstract
    Thespentfuelstorageandtransportcaskmustwithstandvariousaccidentconditionssuchasfire,freedropandpunctureinaccordancewiththerequirementoftheIAEAanddomesticregulations.Thespentfuelstorageandtransportcaskshouldmaintainthestructuralsafetynottoreleaseradioactivematerialinanycondition.Andalsotheeffectsoftheirradiationshouldbeconsideredbecausethespentfuelsstoredinthecaskforalongtimeandbepossibletochangethemechanicalpropertiesofthecask. Inthisstudy,thechangedmechanicalpropertiesofthecaskafterirradiationforthe30yearsstorageperiodsareassumedandappliedtotheimpactanalysisusingABAQUS/ExplicitcodeandseismicanalysisusingANSYScode.Thestressintensityoneachpartofthecaskiscalculatedandtheeffectsofirradiationarestudiedandstructuralintegrityofthepackageisevaluated.
