Abstract :
Itiswidelyrecognizedthatnuclearenergyisoneofthemostpracticalenergysourcestoassureasustainabledevelopmentofhumanlife.Wehave,however,lotsofproblemstosolvebeforetheutilizationofnuclearenergycanbeincreased.Thispapersummarizesthetaskstobeaccomplishedtosolvesuchproblemsandprioritizesthem,andshowshowtheHTRhasexcellentcapabilitiestoaccomplishthetasks.Along-termstrategyforincreasingtheutilizationofnuclearenergyandapracticalwaytorealizeitareproposedfromthestandpointofJapanʹsnuclearindustry.
