Abstract :
Theobjectiveofthispaperistodevelopanonlinearnumericalmodeltoinvestigatethestabilityandnonlineardynamicsofanuclear-coupledtwo-phasenaturalcirculationloop.Somestabilitymaps,parametriceffectsandtransientcharacteristicsofthisnaturalcirculationloophavebeenstudied.Resultsindicatethatthesystemindeedhastwoinstabilityregions,thetype-Iandtype-IIinstabilities,asiswellknownforanaturalcirculationloop.Parametersmayinducedifferenteffectsonthesystemstabilityintype-Iandtype-IIunstableregions.Inparticular,thevoid-reactivityfeedbackdestabilizesthesysteminbothregionsoflowandhighoperatingpowers.Moreover,bystrengtheningnuclearfeedbackeffect,period-doubledbifurcationmayprevailinthesystematrelativelyhighinletsubcoolingsandeventuallyachaoticattractorappearswithafractaldimensionof1.79±0.01andanembeddingdimensionof5.
