  • Abstract
    Solidificationoflow-level-radioactive(LLR)resinswasstudiedinASC(akindofnewcement)-zeoliteblends.Theeffectofadditionofzeoliteonthestrengthofthecementationmatrixwasinvestigated.AsuperiorcombinationwasobtainedasASC35wt.%,zeolite7wt.%tomix42wt.%ofresinswith16wt.%ofwater,themoisturecontentoftheresinswasabout50%.ThesimulatedleachingtestsshowedthatinclusionofzeoliteinASCreducedtheleachingratesofradionuclidessignificantly.Fromtestsof200L,thecentertemperaturecurvewasmeasured,andnoearlythermalcrackswerefound.
