Abstract :
Stressanalysisofawaterstoragestructurehasbeencarriedoutforstaticandseismicloading.Basedonthestressanalysesresults,assessmentofmostlikelyfailuremodesforthestructurecausedbyseismiceventhasbeencarriedout.Anattempthasbeenmadetoquantifytheinitialleakagerateandaverageemptyingtimeforthestructureduringseismiceventafterevaluatingthevariouscrackparameters,viz.,crack-widthandcrack-spacingatthelocationsofinterest.Finally,theseismicfragilityofthestructureisdevelopedasfamiliesofconditionalprobabilitycurvesplottedagainstpeakgroundacceleration(PGA)parameteratthelocationofinterestconsideringtherandomnessanduncertaintyassociatedwithvariousparametersthatcouldaffecttheseismicstructuralresponse.
