Abstract :
Inordertorealizereliableandeconomicalplants,Japanesecommercializedfastreactorsadoptinnovativecomponentdesignsuchassimplificationofareactorvessel,integrationofintermediateheatexchangerswithprimarypumps,shorteningofpipesandreductionofloopnumbers.Thermalload,oneoftheprincipalloadsinfastreactorcomponents,becomescriticalinthosecomponents.Forrealisticevaluationandmitigationofthermalloads“InterimGuidelinesforThermalLoadModeling”weredeveloped.Theseguidelinesarereferredfrom“ElevatedTemperatureStructuralDesignGuideforCommercializedFastReactor(FDS)”.
Currentguidelinesdealwithsystemthermaltransientloadandthermalstripingload.Asforsystemthermaltransientload,twokindsofmodelingmethodwereprovided.Concerningthermalstripingload,thermalfatigueevaluationmethodwasdevelopedconsideringattenuationeffectsofthermalstressrelatedtofrequencyoftemperaturefluctuation.
Interpretationdocumentsoftheguidelinesandexemplarsofapplicationproblemswerealsoprovidedtosupportdesigners.
