Abstract
AlthoughaLevel2PSAhasbeenperformedfortheKoreanStandardPowerPlants(KSNPs),andthatitconsideredthenecessarysequencesforanassessmentofthecontainmentintegrityandsourcetermanalysis.Intermsofanaccidentmanagement,however,morecasescausingseverecoredamageneedtobeanalyzedandarrangedsystematicallyforaneasyaccessoftheresults.Atpresent,KAERIisintensivelycalculatingthesevereaccidentsequencesforvariousinitiatingeventsandgeneratingadatabasefortheaccidentprogressionincludingthermalhydraulicandsourcetermbehaviors.Thedevelopeddatabase(DB)systemincludesagraphicaldisplayforaplantandequipmentstatus,previousresearchresultsbyaknowledge-basedtechnique,andtheexpectedplantbehavior.TheplantmodelusedinthispaperisorientedtothecasesofLOCAsrelatedtosevereaccidentphenomenaandthuscansimulatetheplantbehaviorsofasevereaccident.Therefore,thedevelopedsystemmayplayacentralroleasaninformationʹssourceduringthedecision-makingforasevereaccidentmanagement,andbeusedasatrainingsimulatorforasevereaccidentmanagement.
