  • Abstract
    AverificationstudytoevaluatetheappropriatenessofthediagnosticrulesoftheCE-typeEOPforaSLOCAeventwasperformedtoaddressthediagnosticrelatedambiguitiesusuallyexistedinbehavioralcharacteristicsoftheplantsystemsinresponsetoaspecificinitiator.Aproposedmethodtoverifytheappropriatenessofthediagnosticrulesistoanalyzethedynamicbehaviorsofthediagnosticparametersduringtheanticipatedperiodoftheoperatorʹsdiagnosistime.Theanalysisofthedynamicbehaviorsisconductedbyusingthethermal-hydraulic(T/H)computercode,MARS,asthebreaksizeoftheSLOCAeventisincreased(e.g.,0.76,1.1,1.4,1.6,and1.9in.)underarealisticoperativestatusoftherelatedplantsystems.Accordingtotheanalysisresults,twoofthediagnosticrulesrevealedamismatchedconditionwiththesimulatedphysicalbehaviorsfortheSLOCAevent.
