Abstract :
Thisstudytakesplacewithintheframeworkofnuclearfacilitiescontainmentassessment.Theaimsaretodeterminegaseousflow,two-phaseflowandaerosoldepositionmodelsthroughacracknetworkbyusingthemostrealisticandrepresentativecracknetworkcharacteristics.Forthis,thecracknetworkisconsideredastwoinfiniteparallelplates.Firstofall,airflowexperimentsareperformedonthreeconcretewalls(128cminwidth,75cminheightand10cminthickness),crackedbyshearstresses.Theresultsenabledeterminingaerauliccracknetworkcharacteristics,thankstothePoiseuillemodelinlaminarcompressibleflow,andelaboratinganexperimentalfrictionfactorcorrelationforthetransitionflow,validateduptoaReynoldsnumberof250.Next,aerosoldepositionexperimentswereperformedwithoneofthepreviousconcretewallsinordertodetermineaglobalaerosoldepositionmodelinacracknetwork.Thefirstexperimentswithanaerosoldiameterof60nmshowedthattheaerauliccracknetworkcharacteristicsaresuitablefortheaerosolphysics.Therefore,geometricalcracknetworkcharacteristicsweredeterminedbyusingseveraltypesofexperimentandenable–thankstoaerosoldepositionexperiments–constitutingandvalidatingaglobalmodelofaerosoldepositioninacracknetwork.
