Abstract :
Heatremovalverificationtestsusingtwokindsoffull-scaleconcretecasksunderaccidentconditionswereperformed.Oneisreinforcedconcretecaskandtheotherisconcretefilledsteelcask.Fromthetestresults,theirsafetyonheatremovalperformanceunderaccidentconditionswasconfirmed.Accidentconditionsforthetestswerepartial(50%)andcomplete(100%)blockageoftheairinlets.Becausetheshapeofairflowareaintheconcretecasksaredifferentbetweentwotypesofthecask,itwasfoundthatthechangeofthetemperaturedistributionandairflowpatternweredifferentforeachaccidentcondition.
