Abstract :
Thespentfuelcharacteristicsofthereduced-moderationwaterreactor(RMWR)havebeeninvestigatedusingtheSWATandORIGENcodes.RMWRisanadvancedLWRconceptforplutoniumrecyclingbyusingtheMOXfuel.Inthecodecalculation,theORIGENlibrariessuchasone-groupcross-sectiondatapreparedforRMWRwerenecessary.SincetherewerenoopenlibrariesforRMWR,theywereproducedinthisstudybyusingtheSWATcode.Newlibrariesbasedontheheterogeneouscoremodelingintheaxialdirectionandwiththevariableactinidecross-section(VXSEC)optionwereproducedandselectedastherepresentativeORIGENlibrariesforRMWR.InordertoinvestigatethecharacteristicsoftheRMWRspentfuel,thedecayheat,theradioactivityandthecontentofeachnuclidewereevaluatedwithORIGENusingtheselibraries.Inthisstudy,thespentfuelcharacteristicsofothertypesofreactors,suchasPWR,BWR,highburn-upPWR,full-MOX-PWR,full-MOX-BWRandFBR,werealsoevaluatedwithORIGEN.
