Abstract
IG-11graphite,usedinthe10MWhightemperaturegas-cooledtestreactor(HTR-10),wastestedunderdifferenttemperaturesonanSRVstandardwearperformancetester.Theexperimenttemperatureswereroomtemperature,100,200,300and400°C.Accordingtothereactorstructure,theexperimentsweredesignedtotestgraphite–graphiteandgraphite–stainlesssteelwear.Theweardebriswascollected,andthewornsurfacesanddebriswereobservedunderscanningelectronicmicroscope(SEM).Itwasfoundthatthereweredifferentwearmechanismsatdifferenttemperatures.Themainwearmechanismatroomtemperaturewasabrasivewear;at200°C,itwasfatiguewear;at400°C,adhesivewearwasobserved.Thisdifferencewasmainlyduetothechangeofstressdistributionatthecontactarea.ThedistributionofweardebriswasalsoanalyzedbyEDXparticleanalysissoftware.
