Abstract
Animprovedmethodtodetectthereactorcoolantpump(RCP)abnormalityissuggestedinthiswork.Themonitoringparametersthatareacquiredfrompowerlinesignalanalysisaremotortorque,motorspeedandcharacteristicharmonicfrequencies.ThecombinationofWigner–VilleDistribution(WVD)andfeatureareamatrixcomparisonmethodisusedforabnormalitydiagnosis.Forvalidationoftheproposedmethod,thetestwasperformedduringcool-downphaseandheat-upphaseinnuclearpowerplant(NPP)bycross-comparisonwithRCPvibrationmonitoringsystem(VMS).Usingpumpinternalinspectionresults,thediagnosispredictionisverified.
