ThispaperdicussestheextensionofAUSM-typeschemestothesolutionofmultidimensionalcompressibletwo-phaseflowproblems.Weconsidertheirfirstandsecondorderapproximationsandseveralmultidimensionalproblemhavebeenanalysedinordertoillustratethebehaviourandperformanceoftheschemes.Bothtwo-fluidmixturesofwaterandairandphasechangeprocessesbetweenwaterandsteamhavebeenconsidered.Thermodynamicvariableshavebeencalculatedtakingintoaccounteitheranalyticalequationsofstate(waterandairmixtures)ortabulatedequationsofstate(waterandsteammixtures).Non-conservativetermsinthetwo-fluidsystemofequationshavebeendiscretizedcentrally.Inaddition,gravityforces,interfacialfriction,interfacialheatandmasstransfer,etc.,havebeentakenintoaccountusingapoint-wiseevaluation.
