Abstract :
Anexperimentalexaminationofthecooledvesselsteelcorrosionduringtheinteractionwithmoltencoriumispresented.Theexperimentshavebeenconductedon“Rasplav-2”testfacilityandfollowedupwithphysico-chemicalandmetallographicanalysesofmeltsamplesandcorium-specimeningots.Theresultsdiscussedinthefirstpartofthepaperhaverevealedspecificcorrosionmechanismsforairandinertatmosphereabovethemelt.Modelshavebeenproposedbasedonthisinformationandapproximatecurvesconstructedfortheestimationofthecorrosionrateorcorrosiondepthofvesselsteelinconditionssimulatedbytheexperiments.
