Exact and asymptotic stationary solutions of the semicontinuous Boltzmann equation Original Research Article

The semicontinuous model of the Boltzmann equation is studied in stationary situations and with evaporation-condensation boundary conditions. A class of exact solutions of a special form, which may also be regarded as asymptotic to more general solutions, is explicitly derived.
