Local regularity of the monotone rearrangement Original Research Article

We prove that if a function μ is locally integrable with its gradient also locally integrable on a connected open set ω then its monotone decreasing rearrangement is locally absolutely continuous provided that ω can be approximated by a sequence of Lipchitz connected bounded open sets.
