On the semigroup of linearized forced elongation Original Research Article

In this note we analyze the linearized equations of forced elongation. We prove that solutions of these equations are given by a quasi-contraction C0C0-semigroup on the physically correct state space L1(0,1)L1(0,1) and that the semigroup is eventually differentiable.
