A simple direct solution to a storage allocation model Original Research Article

In this note we consider a two-dimensional difference equation, that arises in models of storage allocation. We us a discrete version of the classic method of separation of variables, and obtain an explicit form of the solution, as either a contour integral or an infinite series.
