On the n-fold Backlund Transformation for the Davey–Stewartson Equation

The N-fold Backlund transformation for the Davey–Stewartson Equation III is constructed following the idea of Neugebauer and Meinel. The formula yields the N-soliton solution in a single step, for this particular nonlinear equation in (2+1) dimensions. It is shown that N=1 leads to the standard one soliton solution.
